Seniors and their caregivers are invited to attend the Union County Board of County Commissioners’ ASK community events in April and speak with knowledgeable staff in person for advice on senior programs and resources. Also available is assistance with filling out forms.
In order to provide assistance in Spanish, bilingual staff will be present at all of these events.
“All seniors and caregivers in our community are welcome to participate in the ASK program. Come and visit with our experienced, knowledgeable staff in the comfortable environment of local community centers and public libraries, to find out about services and resources for seniors in our area,” said Sergio Granados, chairman of the Union County Commissioners.
ASK, or Aging Services Kiosk, is a program of the Union County Department of Human Services’ Division on Aging and Disability Resources that caters to seniors over 60 and the people who care for them.
Residents of Union County now have a helpful, convenient way to learn about helpful senior programs and services thanks to the ASK program. The program brings professional staff from the Division on Aging to local public libraries and other community centers.
An array of services, such as home delivered meals, respite care, home care, adult day care, and support services for caregivers, are available, and staff at ASK events can assist seniors and caretakers in finding them.
No matter where they are from, any senior or caregiver from Union County is welcome to attend an ASK event.
There is no need for an appointment or advance registration. The upcoming ASK events in April all include bilingual assistance in Spanish:
